1. What is a list?
A list is a way of grouping items together or in the case of mylifelisted.com, it is a way of grouping your experiences together.
2. Where are all my lists?
You can see all of your lists are in MY LISTS.
Go to MY LISTS
3. How are the lists organised?
The lists are organised by categories and lists.
You can also create your own custom categories for lists using Create your Own.

4. What are the categories of life experiences?
Mylifelisted divides life experiences into 5 categories:
- Free Time
- Travel
- Big Stuff
- Giving Back
- Create Your Own
5. What are the lists within the Free Time category?
Here you can list all the:
- books that you've read;
- celebrity sightings that you've spotted, taken a photo or got an autograph;
- clubs & bars that you've been to; include pubs, wine bars, sports clubs, private clubs;
- concerts & festivals that you've been to;
- movies watched; include movies seen at home, friends' homes or at the movie theatre;
- museums & galleries visited;
- music songs, CDs or even vinyls that you have;
- parties & events - list any social gathering from intimate dinner parties to bigger gatherings such as weddings, engagement parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, graduation, work events or even funerals;
- restaurants - keep a list of all the restaurants that you've eaten in and the type of restaurant;
- sports attended - list all the sporting events you've been to; include professional and amateur; and list the venue/stadium as well;
- sports played - keep track of all the sports matches that you've played in or list every time you go for a run, to the gym or for a swim;
- theatres & shows - list these to remember all the shows that you've seen; including plays, musicals, comedy, opera, ballet or magic;
- theme parks you've visited; including zoos, amusement parks, the circus or Disney parks.
6. What are the lists within the Travel category?
Here you can list all the:
- airlines you’ve ever flown with;
- airports you’ve travelled through; include transiting;
- cities & towns you’ve visited;
- countries you’ve visited; include any country you have set foot in;
- cruises you’ve been on;
- cultural & natural sites visited; include any World Heritage and UNESCO sites, mountains seen, volcanoes, glaciers, canyons, waterfalls, geysers, safari and national parks;
- holidays & trips you’ve experienced; include any trip oversees or in your home country; weekends away; overnight trips, work trips;
- hotels stayed in; include any type of accommodation.
7. What are the lists within the Big Stuff category?
Here you can list all the:
- awards & prizes you’ve ever won;
- education – list all your schools, colleges or universities and qualifications;
- homes – list all the homes you’ve ever lived in, rented or owned, any type;
- jobs - list all the jobs you’ve had; include full time or part time, permanent or temporary;
- pets – list all the pets you’ve ever had;
- vehicles – list all the motor cars, motor bikes, boats, motor homes, caravans or bicycles you own or have ever owned, rented or driven.
8. What are the lists within the Giving Back category?
Here you can list all the:
- charities – that you have contributed to by any action or donation;
- community- any community activity or work that you have contributed to.
9. What are the lists within the Create Your Own category?
Here you can create your own custom categories to list whatever experience you want.
There are two steps involved:
- First: You need to add custom category headings or "labels" to create your own list template in any way you want.
- Second: You can then add items to your custom category in the same way as adding items to any category.

Your custom categories will then be shown in the drop down list menu in NEW ITEM or ADD NEW ITEM.
10. How do I list something that doesn't fall within a category?
Select the Create Your Own Category and create your own custom catgories and unique labels to list whatever experience you want.
11. What if I only want to make a few lists and not make use of all the lists?
We're not all into the same things – just list the things you're interested in.
You can also hide lists that you don't use.

12. How do I view all my lists from all categories?
You can view all your lists in MY LISTS.
Go to MY LISTS > All Categories.
You can also see all your items in MY ACCOUNT.
Go to MY ACCOUNT >My Profile
Select the list you want to view.
13. How do I view my lists from one category?
You can view a list from a particular category.
Go to MY LISTS
Then select from either of the categories:

14. What are the different formats to view my lists?
You can view your lists in:
- List form
- Table form
- Map form
15. How do I view my lists in List form?
To view your lists in List form:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories
- At the top of the list, select List to see your list in List form
Note: You can edit your settings to always view in list form: MY ACCOUNT > Settings > Default View > List.
16. How do I view my lists in Table form?
To view your lists in Table form:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories.
- At the top of the list, select Table to see your list in Table form.
Note: You can edit your settings to always view in table form: MY ACCOUNT > Settings > Default View > Table.
17. How do I view my lists in Map form?
To view your lists in Map form:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories
- At the top of the list, select Map, to see all your experiences from that list on a Map
- To close the map form, click the "x" in the box
Note: You can only see your items on a map if you have added Locations to your list items.
Note: There is no default setting for map form.
18. How do I download my lists?
To download your lists:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories
- At the top of the list select Download
- A new window will open displaying your List in a downloadable format
Note: Images and maps are not downloadable.
Note: The lists will download by experienced descending.
19. How do I print my lists?
To print your lists:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories
- At the top of the list select Print
A new window will open displaying your List in a printer-friendly format.
Note: The lists will print by experienced descending.
20. What are the different ways to sort my lists?
You can sort your list by:
- Date Added (descending or ascending);
- Date Experienced (descending or ascending);
- Name (A-Z or Z-A);
- Rating (descending or ascending).
Note: You can edit your settings to select a default sort:

21. How do I sort my lists?
To sort your lists:
- Go to MY LISTS
- Select one of the lists from any of the categories
- At the top of the list select SORT BY
- First: Select how you want to sort
- Second: Click on the upward arrow for the sort to happen

22. How do I hide unused lists?
To hide unused lists:
Note: You can only hide lists from:
- Free Time;
- Travel;
- Big Stuff;
- Giving Back.
Note: You cannot hide lists if you have added any items to that list.
Note: You cannot hide lists which you have created using Create Your Own or Smart Lists.

23. How do I edit or delete my lists?
You can edit or delete lists which you have created using Create Your Own or Smart Lists:
- Go to MY ACCOUNT Select Custom Lists or Smart Lists
- Select Edit or Delete
- Select SAVE CATEGORY if editing Custom Lists or SAVE SMART LIST if editing Smart Lists.
Note: You cannot edit or delete the lists from
- Free Time
- Travel
- Big Stuff
- Giving Back categories
Note: You can edit or delete all the items that you have added to your lists.

24. Can I recover my deleted lists?
To recover deleted lists:
Eventually the deleted list will be discarded and you will not be able to press UNDO.
